What About It
I’m kind of at a loss to explain why this show doesn’t work for me. I love the hook, which is reviewing and then actually talking about things like Cheetos, Twizzlers & Peruvian snacks. I love getting into the weeds about things no one ever talks about and this is just nerdy enough that it seems like it would work for me. And the comedians seem well-schooled in absurdist improv, a form of comedy I like. But I find this show really bland. I’ve listened to several episodes from the archive and I think I laughed out loud once. It’s a good idea for a show, but somehow these two particular comedians, Michael Ian Black & Tom Cavanaugh, just aren’t up my alley.
