Okay, here’s a trip back to Harden’s Hamburgers for a meal of Steak Fingers. This combo meal is only available, for some odd reason, on Thursday nights, so if you don’t know that, you have a six in seven chance of showing up and being disappointed. Luckily, I knew it, so I made a special trip since I’m never in that part of town on Thursday night. Worth the trip? You bet. The meal comes with around three of the steak fingers (if you’ve ever had chicken fingers, just . . . picture the same thing with steak), a side serving of green beans, a side serving of mashed potatoes and a piece of Texas Toast. Everything is awesome (*thumping beat*) in this meal. The steak fingers have crisp, crunchy breading and tender, flavorful meat with that same peppery taste that distinguishes the burgers; tastes like burning! Only delicious! I’m not a huge fan of the green bean, but these are tender, almost melt in your mouth, and served piping hot. The potatoes and the Texas Toast are less spectacular, I guess I’d say, but they function perfectly well as side items. They’re good without being phenomenal or particularly memorable, but that’s fine when you’ve got the steak fingers themselves and those amazing green beans. Yes, it’s Thursday night, not Friday. Get out of the house anyway. This one’s definitely worth it. Highly recommended. 4 stars.
