Released only in IMAX 3D and only forty minutes long; getting surprisingly good reviews and boasting a really awesome trailer. Well, it was only forty minutes of my life more or less wasted. The only other movie I’ve seen in IMAX 3D was Metallica: Through the Never and it was awesome, but the 3D here was just . . . okay, not ever really stunning. Lemurs are cool and all; they really are weird animals, but there’s none of the wonder I was hoping the movie would evoke. I loved the Bears documentary from Disney earlier this year, which was also a nature documentary aimed at kids, but this one was just pretty uninteresting. I guess I’d just call it average. I’d recommend against seeing it. 2 stars.
tl;dr – IMAX 3D footage of lemurs shouldn’t be this boring. 2 stars.
