Buy Scandal: More Cattle, Less Bull
Two things make a coincidence. Three things make a conspiracy.
Okay, so this is the worst episode of the series to this point. I found this episode to be just really pretty terrible. I was pretty jazzed for Lisa Kudrow to really become a big part of the show in her guest role as a congresswoman with an eye to the White House, but she really does nothing of any interest and I saw the big twist in her story coming from about ten miles away. And a lot of time Abby/David material; I’m not just tired of those two and their on/off relationship – I’m exhausted. And speaking of on/off, Fitz and Olivia kind of reset their relationship here to where it was way long time ago in the show. You know, before he raped her that one time. For a show so interested in continuity and consistent character arcs, this is a weird misfire in their characters. Anyway, this was just a tiresome, tiresome episode. 1 star.
tl;dr – worst episode yet with relationship drama on all the worst possible fronts, a lot of character resets and a wasted Lisa Kudrow in a hackneyed, unsurprising plot. 1 star.
