What It Is
The host discusses issues related to fitness, exercise, supplements, etc.
Technical Details
This show, somewhat miraculously, drops a new episode every weekday pretty much. Episodes run around two hours (!). Sound quality is pretty awful, I’ll say. iTunes page boasts 299 episodes; for the rest of the nearly 2,000 episodes, check out the website.
What About It
The tagline of this show is “Live Stronger; Live Longer” and that pretty well sums it up. Host Carl Lenore has a history in the strength-building/fitness industry and he has people on to talk about a large variety of issues related to exercise regimens, nutritional supplements, anti-aging techniques, etc. These people seem to know what they’re talking about, but it’s a show that doesn’t transcend its subject matter. Discussion and personalities are both usually pretty dull and after listening to just a few episodes, the show started to get very repetitive in terms of what it was saying. That may be helpful as a motivator, I don’t know, but it seems like the show really doesn’t need to release eight to ten hours of content a week, I’ll just say that. Anyway, subject matter isn’t for me; execution is mostly lackluster; content to output ratio is way off. The host and guests are intelligent in their fields, I think. However, subject matter isn’t for me; execution is mostly lackluster; content to output ratio is way off.
2 stars.
