This is the short that played before Disney’s new Cinderella movie. It’s a sequel to Frozen, of course, and a quite delightful one. It finds Elsa dealing with a cold as spring moves into the kingdom and everyone is struggling to put on a party for Anna. It’s a short, of course, and presupposes knowledge of Frozen. I found Frozen to be pretty compelling; I gave it 3 ½ stars. This one, by virtue of being shorter, is even better. The sister relationship is still front and center, but the supporting cast turn in some genuinely hilarious antics and the central song is as damnably catchy and clever as anything in Frozen while also being a lot lighter. This one isn’t as psychologically complex as Frozen obviously, but I really loved it. Highly recommended. 4 stars.
tl;dr – short film captures everything you loved about Frozen in less time and with more energy; hilarious, sweet and charming and like you needed anything else? 4 stars.
