I didn’t really take to this episode that much. The ending is a significant one for the series as a whole and I’m curious as to where the series is going to go with this revelation. But the episode moves the relationship between Olivia & Fitz back into “will they/won’t they” territory, which I’m just over after that . . . well, let’s call a spade a spade . . . that rape a few episodes ago. So, that whole plotline just isn’t compelling to me anymore, except for when they’re playing it for its disturbing elements; here, it’s back to being played for its tragic elements, which I’m just not into anymore. There is one really good scene with Goldwyn & Young, but on the whole, this one’s just pretty bland. The plot moves along nicely enough, but the annoying “will/won’t” plot doesn’t work and the “mole” plotline is getting less interesting as well; this episode is obviously trying to get us to suspect that one of the characters is the mole when there is NO CHANCE in Hell he’s actually the mole. Anyway, this one’s weaker than the season so far, for sure. 2 ½ stars.
tl;dr – troubling romantic developments are just annoying and the mole plot isn’t working anymore; still, some good character moments in an otherwise average episode. 2 ½ stars.
