Studio: The Marathon Show
Category: Amateur
What It Is
A guy who likes to run hosts a show about running and talks to other people who like to run or know about running.
Technical Details
This show releases a new episode every week or so. Episodes tend to run an hour or a bit more. Sound quality is routinely dreadful. The iTunes page has the entire archive of nearly 250 shows.
What About It
So, I really know very little about marathon running. I mean, I know it exists and I know two people, both of them over the internet, who participate in marathon running at least from time to time. I am not this show’s target audience, but still, as I keep saying, that is no reason not to love a show since a show can be incredibly entertaining, whatever its personal relevance to me. Anyway, this show has awful sound quality and the conversations have a definite drone to them, if you know what I mean. There is occasionally an attempt at humor that is, embarrassingly for a show about running, incredibly lame. This is a show entirely without merit.

Essential If
The Greeks are here, the Persians are here, the Great God Pan has just stepped out of the bushes and a scroll is being violently thrust into your hands.
Avoid Like the Plague If
You only run when Robert Patrick is chasing you (double movie reference).
Best Entry Point
The gates of Athens.
