I asked you to save me. And you said no.
All right, I’m three episodes from the end of season three and I’m really having a difficult time motivating myself to just even finish the season. It’s like I somehow knew that this episode was going to be incredibly disappointing. And it is. This is one of the weakest episodes of Scandal so far, I think. It wasn’t obnoxiously stupid or anything; it just had no spark and no energy. It’s like everyone is kind of tired or something as the season rushes to a close. There were a couple of good scenes. I liked the dinner scene that reunited all three of the Popes, especially that moment when they literally bring out the knives. The winning scene was definitely Olivia’s rant to Andrew, the V.P. on the ticket. That was epic as only Kerry Washington can do epic. But on the whole, this one was super disappointing. 1 star.
tl;dr – show’s just marking time until the finale right now; a couple of decent scenes can’t elevate this one to even mildly interesting. 1 star.
