This episode is nothing short of brilliant really. The show really catches fire (no pun intended) as things spiral out of control. There are no shortage of brilliant scenes. The centerpiece is the dinner sequence with Hardy joining Miller and her husband for a dinner at their home. Loads of fun and great acting from all concerned. David Bradley gets a lot of screen time and he makes the most of it. And then there’s an amazing scene with Pauline Quirke who reveals just how scary Susan Wright actually is. I just loved this episode. 4 stars.
tl;dr – a continued improvement over even the great episodes so far; the characters continue to unfold and both supporting players and lead performers get moments to raise the bar. 4 stars.
