You know, Mike, it would please me greatly if you would do me the honor of removing your jizzbox from our executive branch of government.
Well, boy, oh, boy, talk about a bounce back. After Clovis, one of the weakest episodes the series so far, this episode is nothing short of a masterpiece. It clicks along brilliantly on every cylinder. Selina’s looking for a campaign manager and she wants one from outside her group, and there are two very, very fun scenes with Diedrich Bader as a motormouthed campaign manager she’s eying for the job. Meanwhile Amy wants everyone to support her for the position so she has everyone over to her place for dinner for a painfully awkward dinner scene that’s hilarious and also features the welcome return of the always great Zach Woods as Amy’s incredibly wimpy boyfriend. And then there’s the subplot in which Mike and his wife are attempting to get pregnant via invitro fertilization, so, yes, masturbation ahoy! This is probably the crassest subplot on the show to date and it’s damned brilliant. This episode had me laughing out loud over and over. This is the show at its best. 4 stars.
tl;dr – show returns to form with an episode where every subplot works; funniest episode in a while. 4 stars.
