Agatha Christie's Great Detectives Poirot & Marple: Suripingu Mada (Sono Ni) Kioku no Tobira

In Part Two of this show’s adaptation of Sleeping Murder, things remain pretty serious and somber.  The plot thickens and the show starts to bring some of the thematic elements of the story home to our main character, Mabel.  The show starts to get into Mabel’s relationship with her parents, something we haven’t really dealt with at all since the first couple of episodes, when she left home against their will.  The incredibly sad story that is being uncovered through the investigation of this decades old murder is actually having an emotional effect on Mabel and she’s starting to feel bad about being semi-estranged from her parents!  God, this show has gotten good.  4 stars.

tl;dr – this episode deepens the emotional impact of the investigation and Mabel’s own personal life in another serious and sad episode.  4 stars.
