Okay, let’s finish off AQ with a dessert. What we have here are sliced peaches and a syrupy filling inside a fried dough covering. And, of course, a dip of vanilla ice cream. It comes in two sizes; get the small, unless you’re sharing. This is a fine dessert, though I’ll admit it’s a bit too sweet for me, really. The peaches have an intense enough flavor on their own; the syrupy filling could stand to be a little less sweet if you ask me. But who am I to blow against the wind? (He said, having spent most of his life blowing against the wind.) Most people like their desserts sweeter than I do. This isn’t a show stopper or anything; I’ve had desserts this good plenty of times. But there’s certainly nothing wrong with it. Conditionally recommended. 3 stars.
tl;dr – peaches, syrup, fried dough, ice cream; frankly, could stand to be a little less sweet, but you can’t go too far wrong with those ingredients, no matter what you do. 3 stars.
Next time, we’ll hop on down the road in Arkansas to one of the most unique restaurants I’ve been too on this journey. And we’ll return to the breakfast table, so get up early for this one.
