All right, came back to Chicken Mary’s for dinner the day I had lunch at Chicken Annie’s. Okay, I have to be honest here. I mean, once again, it was good, solid fried chicken. Very tasty. Crispy breading. Juicy. Flavorful. I mean, I’m running out of ways to describe fried chicken. I think I’d put this one a tier below Chicken Annie’s. Still not as good as Barto’s. It’s kind of humorous. These two restaurants have been publically waging a war of fried chicken for decades and meanwhile, about five minutes away, Barto’s Idle Hour has just quietly produced the best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Well, sad, kind of. If you feel like weighing in on the debate swing by here when you come to the area to eat at Barto’s. Conditionally recommended. Good meal. 3 stars.
tl;dr – restaurant is probably the loser in the Chicken Dinner Road rivalry, but it’s still a good solid meal of fried chicken. 3 stars.
