Part Three of the ABC Murders finds Poirot gathering a team of investigators around him, made up of friends and family of the three murder victims so far. Meanwhile, we’re introduced to the unstable Alexander Bonaparte Cust (I mean, just that name would make you mentally unstable), a traveling salesman given to fits of epilepsy. Poirot and crew travel to Doncaster where a massive horse race is taking place; will they be able to stop the murderer? This is a good episode, things are moving along quickly and the show handles Cust very well. I’ve been curious when they would actually bring him in as a character. Great cliffhanger ending at the race-track here and next episode, the thrilling conclusion! 3 stars.
tl;dr – solid episode is fast-paced, introduces a new character in a smart way and has a great cliffhanger; bring on part 4! 3 stars.
