Anyway, it seems that 2011 was a good time for retrospectives on the Scream franchise since, you know, the fourth movie was about to come out. So this ninety minute documentary looks back at the original trilogy by talking to cast and crew members from all the films. This is better than Scream: The Inside Story because, by focusing on all three films, it requires an overall faster pace and it covers more ground. I should also mention that this documentary starts with a very poor quality skit in which the killer calls a couple of girls and it’s genuinely just awful, but so awful that it’s ALMOST endearing. I mean, hey, it’s different and for someone who just set through the very cable TV Scream: The Inside Story, I was ready for something different. It’s not a must watch or anything, but if you want a Scream documentary, go with this one over The Inside Story. 2 ½ stars.
tl;dr – feature length documentary covers the entire Scream original trilogy and is fast-paced and kind of silly; better than Scream: The Inside Story, but still not great or anything. 2 ½ stars.
